Leaving on a jet plane, don’t know when I’ll be back again!

I’m writing this post while we’re flying at 29076 feet somewhere above Germany. We just got our first bag of peanuts and a drink so time to relax!

The past few days have gone by really quickly. We said goodbye to our friends and families, and in between farewell parties we tried our best at packing our bags. Last weekend we partied with our friends in Arnhem and Vleuten. And this Saturday we went out for a lovely meal with our families. Thanks everyone for sending us off in such a good spirit. It meant a lot to us to see so many of you there. And remember it’s goodbye and not farewell! (Sorry Rob for stealing your words :))

As most of you know we decided to go to the airport alone. We stayed in a hotel close to Schiphol and got a shuttle bus this morning. Yesterday we said goodbye to both sets of parents. It was hard but I’m glad we didn’t say goodbye at Schiphol this morning. There have been some tears but also lots of smiles.

We knew our luggage was gonna be too heavy (try packing your entire life in just 3 bags!), but the girl at the check in desk was very nice to us. We did have to pay for the extra kilo’s but not as much as we feared. The Peeraer family will be happy to know that thanks to them Rikki’s golf bag is now on board of this flight as well!

So that’s it we are off on our way to our new lives down under. I am going to relax and enjoy the rest of this flight! (Oh and I’ll post this message when I can go online again!)

See you either online or in Australia at some point!

    We’ll meet again, don’t know were, don’t know when……
